STUDENT PICTURE PACKAGES WERE DISTRIBUTED TO STUDENTS ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, AND MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 15.

Picture Make-Up & Retake day is THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 18.
  • Students who did not have their picture taken at in-person registrationáin August should plan on having their picture taken THURSDAY, even if your family does not want to order any prints.
  • Students who had their picture taken but want a retakeámust bring their entire picture package with them on THURSDAY and return it to Lifetouch when called for retakes.
(Groups will be requested by last name, so students will need to listen for overhead announcements.)

PSAT EXAM
The PSAT is a "practice" exam for students who plan to attend a four-year college/university after high school.á It is an additional method you can use to measure your educational skills with other students who are planning to attend college.á The results will give you a head start on improving the academic skills you need for future ACT or SAT college entrance exams. áJuniors and Sophomores typically find the results most helpful, and Juniors who score in the top 1% may be eligible for the National Merit Scholarship recognition!

The PSAT will be given onáOctober 16th from 7:30-11:30 a.m. Interested students must register and pick up an information packet in the Counseling Office. á(A $16.00 exam fee must be paid at the time you register. áChecks can be made payable to:áPewaukeeáHigh School.)

The deadline to register isáFriday, September 26th.

SENIOR YEARBOOK PHOTOS
Senior yearbook photos should be turned into Mr. Ryan Corderáno later than Friday, October 31. áThe photo may be delivered in printed copy (of at least standard wallet size) or a digital high-res image (via email to cordrya@pewaukeeschools.org or on CD/flash drive.)

Please be mindful of the following requirements:
  • Photos must be vertical/portrait orientation (not horizontal/landscape).
  • Photos may be color or black and white.
  • If worn, cap brims must be straight forward.
  • No offensive logos or messages, weapons, excessive cleavage, or bare midriffs.
  • PHSáadministration and yearbook staff reserve the right to request an alternate photo if photo submitted does not meet appropriate requirements.

HERB KOHL TEACHER FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
The Herb Kohl Teacher Fellowship Program is designed to recognize and support teaching excellence and innovation. áOne hundred selected teachers and the schools of those teachers will receive $1,000 grants in recognition of educational excellence. áPrevious winners from PHS include Mr. Ed Kurth and Mr. Aaron Yuskis.

Parents are encouraged to nominate a classroom teacher (previous winners are ineligible) and can access the nomination forms atáhttp://www.kohleducation.org.á Nomination forms must be submitted to the Department of Public Instruction on or beforeáFriday, September 26.

NEWSWEEK/THE DAILY BEAST RECOGNIZE PHS

Pewaukee High School was once again named one of America's Best High Schools by Newsweek/The Daily Beast. áPHS was rated as the 5th best high school in Wisconsin and number 202 in the entire United States. Criteria for this designation includes ACT scores, college level courses and graduation and college acceptance rates. áThis prestigious designation comes on top of the Washington Post naming PHS as one of the nations Most Challenging High Schools.

Only those students who have obtained parking permits are allowed to park on school property.

The diagonal parking spaces located in front of the school are for visitors to the school and substitute use only.

Cars that are parked illegally or improperly will be ticketed by the Village of Pewaukee Police and may be subject to tow at owner's expense.
